I am a Bachelor of Science graduate with a major in Physics and a minor in Informatics from the University of Wollongong, UOW, graduating with distinction. I have previous programming experience as an intern in the UOW Physics department’s photo-optics lab in Python, as well as in Java, MySQL and C++ as part of my coursework. My degree involved a significant mathematical workload from which I developed numerical proficiency, as well as a strong foundation for high level problem solving. Prior to beginning university, I enjoyed a career in hospitality which included managing a restaurant. These roles were performed in fast-paced environments which demanded maintaining a strong focus, clear communication, and an ability to develop new skills quickly. In my management role I directed a team of six members, but each hospitality position has required working within a team with respectful collaboration. I am a strong communicator with an analytic mind, high attention to detail, as well as a constant drive to learn and apply new skills. I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to continue learning throughout my career.
