I’m a skilled communications professional and trained journalist, adept at both verbal and written communication. With a solid foundation in communication strategies, I bring a versatile set of skills to any professional setting.I'm currently the Director of Communications for the Massachusetts Sheriffs Association.Prior to my new role, I was an Anchor/Reporter at Western Mass News is Springfield, MA. I co-anchored the 4.5 hour morning show, which was broadcasted on FOX, ABC, and CBS. I helped launch various series, including "Vaccine Authority" and "Health Tips Tuesday." The "Vaccine Authority" focused on answering community questions regarding the Coronavirus vaccine. I returned hundreds of calls providing viewers with accurate information during the unknown times. Partnering with several local health professionals, I produced a number of stories that directly helped get people crucial information. I also launched "Health Tip Tuesday," which was a weekly segment for the morning show interviewing doctors about specific health topics. The topics ranged from Covid-019, the flu, Cancer awareness, and Diabetes. Before moving to MA, I was the Morning Reporter/Multimedia Journalist for WJHG-TV the NBC affiliate and number one station in Panama City Beach, FL. In addition to regularly scheduled programming, I often responds to breaking news, and covered extreme weather situations including Hurricane Michael; the Category 5 hurricane that devastated the Florida Panhandle. I have a passion for community service and after Hurricane Michael was inspired to start my own franchise, “Everyday Heroes.” Each week it featured an individual or organization making a difference in the community. I also is solely responsible for two other franchises, “The Golden Apple,” and “Summertime Learning.” I attended the University of Florida and studied Telecommunication News with a concentration in political science. While in the School of Journalism and Communication, I took classes in all communication areas including public relations, journalism, advertising, and more.
