Jordan Denton-Espinoza is currently a Community Service Officer II for the City of San Jose’s Police Department. He started as a Recruit Officer in 2017, attended and graduated the CSO academy and FTO, then became a Community Service Officer I. He was one of two Community Service Officers designated for service in the entire Southern Division of San Jose. He was promoted to Community Service Officer II in May 2018, when he became the sole CSO in District Yellow of Southern San Jose, supporting a team of 5 Patrol Officers. Jordan was hand selected to be a Field Training Officer for incoming CSO Recruits; he was primary FTO to two Recruits during this time. Afterwards, Jordan was hand selected to be an Academy Instructor for the subsequent years up to the present day. He has received numerous commendations for his participation in community events, such as Coffee With a Cop, National Night Out, Crime Prevention/Neighborhood Watch, and other community meetings. Also, he has received commendations for his participation in evacuating residents in active flood zones. Presently, Jordan is working the Western division of San Jose as a Community Service Officer working in the patrol capacity. His preliminary investigative cases have been televised on local news.
