As a tech-forward small business owner, I handle internal IT, and help architect most projects. I also lead some of those projects, and do pieces of the web development and IT infrastructure.

Since CGU IT provides highly technical services, my CTO role is broad. Some days I’m working with licensing agreements and financial models, other days helping lay out mesh network designs for larger customers.

At CGU I lead technology and development, in many ways crossing the role of a CIO and CTO. The development is largely web 2 (started web and app stuff), web3 (blockchain), and game dev, though there are a variety of projects as each client can bring unique challenges (including physical hardware in some cases).

I have been a high school teacher, software engineer, devops engineer, cloud architect and CTO. Currently I am building and managing Cloud Training at Apple.

At ROI, I mostly teach enterprise IT teams how to use GCP, Kubernetes, microservice architecture and more. Sometimes I also help develop curriculum.

At TechLX I lead curriculum and instruction as well as internal development projects such as our Makerspace Management System.

At Hydra, I taught classes and advise clients on automation and DevOps strategies like Microservice Architecture and CICD pipelines.

As CTO, I am primarily responsible for the public website, and internal tools for analytics and administration.

At LearnTech I designed the curriculum and overarching student experience. We used design thinking strategies from Stanford's Design School (the d.school) to map a student journey from application to career. In between are the challenges and projects that I designed with teachers and curriculum advisors (professional developers) that made up our courses. I'm one of four original founders, and started this school to combine the best of traditional and nontraditional coding education, and spread the "coding bootcamp" model far and wide. As Instructional Designer @DMA, I have two distinct but related facets to my job. The majority of my time is dedicated to developing approximately one third of our existing product, our courses. The categories I'm developing are Teen and Kids Programming and Robotics, Teen Music Production, and Teen Game Design. I will facilitate the team that develops curriculum in these areas, as well as hire and manage the team that teaches them.Then my secondary focus is dmaLabs, the R&D branch of Digital Media Academy. Here I will work with students and staff to define what teaching means and looks like at DMA. For example we are working on the DMA Pedagogy, and will soon be developing a DMA Learning Management System (LMS). At dmaLabs we will also test out new types of courses and technology, as well as produce cool tech and digital media ourselves. We endeavor to be not just a "Think Tank" of students and staff, but more of a "Do Tank."

I did Product Design on DMA Curriculum and recent How-To Videos. I also design internal products like the website, registration system (Salesforce), financial tracking, and other information systems. My final project was Arduino and Minecraft curricula, that transitioned me into my new role as Instructional Designer.

Supported 800+ Macs, used in 60+ digital media education courses at 10+ locations all across North America. Prepared the disk image that was cloned to all computers, including setting up professional software from Autodesk (Maya), Adobe (Creative Suite, now called Creative Cloud), Apple (FCPX, Logic) and many more.

At SBYT I managed servers, wrote code, and worked on monetization and marketing strategies.

Managed technical systems used by the CEO and his team, for example Salesforce, Hootsuite, Google Apps, Survey Monkey, Ask Your Target Market, Mail Chimp, and more.Provided CEO+Team technical advice for decision making and strategic planning. Also ran computer science training sessions for the CEO.

I managed some teachers, as well as the youth support staff. Also I was one of two responsible for the technical maintenance of 100 iMacs, a dozen projectors, and other classroom equipment.

I taught Geometry and Algebra, helped out with robotics, and was the an assistant varsity basketball coach.

I provided second tier technical support for Prometric's IT tests, most often the Mircrosoft Certifications.I also wrote technical documentation, and researched and solved ongoing issues.

Worked on interdepartmental optimizing and training, including creation of new processes and a new sub department of production which I managed.
