• Led a small team that pioneered and created a modern insurance operation without replacing legacy systems. This revolutionary operation, Zurich Direct, was the first of it’s kind in Japan.• Managed a 35 unit staff responsible for all software development. Consulted on strategic architectural direction for all technical platforms.• Consulted for the Zurich Global Group on modernising insurance applications in Switzerland, Taiwan and Hong Kong.• Designed and implemented the technology behind Zurich Direct’s call centre and eCommerce site. This technology allowed for the implementation of a small call centre (30 seats), yet was scalable enough to grow that call centre to 500+ seats and power their eCommerce site.• Created a toolset and methodology for significantly reducing the Y2K remediation efforts from more than 6 months to 3 weeks. This toolset was used in sites throughout Japan and Taiwan saving the company millions of dollars and countless man-years of effort.
