Hello! I'm Jordan Rivas, a junior Engineering student at Texas A&M University. I plan to earn my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and my M.S. in Finance. I am actively seeking internship experience in the consulting world, but would appreciate any opportunity to expand my knowledge in technical project work. During the summer of 2023, I had my first internship experience at Carollo Engineers where I worked under their Building Services group. I was able to walk away with a better understanding of various engineering concepts and how they apply to the real world. It provided me a great opportunity to develop my critical thinking skills and gain experience working with other engineers. On campus, I am involved in a women's org called RYLLIES, where I have the opportunity to serve the community alongside other Aggies and give back to the place that makes my education possible. I was also a Public Relations Executive of a professional development student organization, called P.R.E.P., where I served as a mentor to freshmen who were trying to improve their leadership skills. I also recently joined the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (A.S.M.E.) and look forward to expanding my network by utilizing everything they have to offer.
