The Talent Acquisition Process team is responsible for creating, maintaining and improving recruitment processes and procedures globally. We identify opportunities to improve the recruitment team's efficiency and effectiveness. We also manage recruitment trainings, communication and the recruitment technology suite.

My role is instrumental in supporting Kansas City as well as other regional offices with recruiting and hiring experienced Engineers, Project Managers and Business Development Managers. I recruit, hire, train, and provide support for multiple areas of our company’s business; including Power Generation, Power Distribution, Power Delivery, Nuclear, Gas, Oil, Transmission and Distribution- Overhead, Underground and Substation design, Transmission Planning, Process and Petrochemical, Food Manufacturing Plant design, Industrial, Airport Facilities, & Hospital / Healthcare design.I serve as a business partner to managers nationwide in the recruitment of staff and participate in the full life cycle of the recruitment process, including candidate selection, recruiting, interviewing, hiring and on-boarding.Before forming a dedicated recruitment team, I served as a Human Resources Generalist. In addition to consulting with managers in the full life cycle recruitment process I provided counsel and problem-resolution services to employees and management with employee relations issues. I supported managers in providing continuous performance feedback to employees. I also gained experience advising managers on career development, performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions.Prior to my generalist role I was focused on proactively identifying and assessing talent for our organization as our first internal sourcing specialist. I still heavily utilize my sourcing background in my current role to engage engineers that might not be out looking for a new job, but are open to hearing about what could turn out to be a great new career opportunity with performance based rewards! I started at Burns & McDonnell as a recruiting assistant where I supported all areas of the recruitment team and gained invaluable knowledge of the overall company processes as a whole.

At State Street I was responsible for the day-to-day operations of various mutual funds and equities. I produced and verified financial statements and reports for clients, entered and monitored general ledger activity and daily account activity, and booked trades and priced funds in order to determine the net asset value reported in the newspaper.I consulted with clients in order to solve problems and analyze issues concerning the funds activity on a daily basis.While at State Street I had several opportunities training new employees. I also served as an Ambassador for State Street representing them at the UMKC Career Fair.
