I worked with other process engineers to support and improve the manufacturing side of the company. My tasks included process and equipment validations, process amd equipment verifications, materials projects, fixture drawings, and lots of documentation. Materials projects I worked on included validating a second source vendor, validating a new hypo tube for an injection needle, and modifying a robot to run a new part. Documentation is part of every project and task but pure documentation projects included updating standard operating prodedures, creating expanded routers, and puting together a lengthy and in-depth manufacturing change order to remove instructions for use from certain products.

My younger brother plays baseball in the Greater Toledo Challenger Baseball League, which is a youth baseball league for children with special needs. I am his “buddy.” As a buddy I practice and play the games with him. On offense, I help him swing the bat or pitch the ball for him to hit and then we run the bases together. On defense, I help him catch and chase down balls. Although I am specifically his buddy I still help out other teammates when I can especially when it comes to cheering and high fives.

I worked under a design engineer in the new product development group. I was a member of several cross functional teams to create new endoscopic devices to help doctors and those in the medical field. Some of my major tasks were revising and creating parts in Solidworks, feasibility testing new ideas, and maintaining and updating the biocompatibility matrix.

Sunshine Children's home is a non-profit organization that offers services to people with developmental disabilities. Their mission is to create community among people with developmental disabilities and they have been doing so since 1950. I volunteered in the day program. Here I helped clients play games, do arts and crafts, take walks, read books, give manicures, but most importantly interact and converse with the people.http://www.sunshine.org/
