Knowledge Bank is the UKs largest Criteria Search system. Aimed at mortgage brokers to both save time and enhance compliance throughout their sales process, Knowledge Bank provides instant access to over 250 lenders criteria across all areas of mortgage lending.As Knowledge Bank’s first and only Account Manager, my role in this growing company was to enhance existing and develop new B2B relationships with mortgage clubs and networks, large advisory firms, and other large bodies within the financial services sector. Then, increase awareness of Knowledge Bank within their client base to, in turn, increase sales.Due to the varying nature of the approaches from one partner to the next, a wide range of skills were required that were picked up on internally. This led to me quickly taking on extra responsibilities, such as hosting live public webinars to hundreds of attendees and designing and implementing all internal marketing campaigns.

Signature was created to apply The SimplyBiz Group’s services as a complete and tailored package for larger advisory firms and Discretionary Wealth Managers. It was set up in 2018 and now comprehensively serves a multitude of national accounts.By collating a detailed understanding of the target market and ‘hot topics’ within the industry, I created a marketing plan to distribute targeted campaigns via email, LinkedIn and event attendance to the correct audience. I then identified any possible opportunities gathered from campaigns and events and followed these leads to secure a meeting with any potential clients.I compiled and distributed bespoke service propositions that addressed any identified service requirements, then managed service delivery once onboard. I was also the main point of contact for any queries/issues that the clients may have, working with internal departments to facilitate a solution.

A proactive, successful Business Development Manager who created relationships with both provider partners and member firms alike.Understanding the members businesses and keeping up with partners’ products allowed me to identify opportunities. I would then assist the members in attaining these opportunities, which further enhanced their businesses. I tracked the uptake of business via SimplyBiz Mortgages so data analysis and trend spotting were key skills I required to be successful.I was also on the protection and General Insurance (GI) helpdesk, which specializes in assisting financial advisers place complex protection and GI cases. This area of the role allowed me to speak to a broad range of people, from CEO’s of national companies to small ‘one-man’ firms. My adaptive personality and account management skills allowed me to excel in communication, explaining the best route and assisting the client with taking it.

From keying in invoices, managing petty cash, taking high values of money to the bank, assisting with BACS payment runs, completing credit card purchase requests, handling telephone calls, attaining relevant authorisation for high cost invoices and other filing/administrative tasks.
