As a Design Coordinator, I’m exposed to a vast network of design consultants, design related challenges, and complex compliance issues which help refine my understanding of the NCC, Australian Standards, design, and construction as a whole.Through my time adapting and excelling in the role of Design Coordinator, I have had the opportunity to refine my ability to communicate complex buildability issues with design, provide vigorous design risk assessment, undertake cost analysis/value engineering, and effectively manage the builder/stakeholder relationship. With a background in Architecture, I’ve been comprehensively trained to think and communicate as an architect, which has been a useful tool when managing design consultants, understanding their approach to design, and communicating to project stakeholders.Over my relatively short time in commercial construction, I have also tried my hand at general project management, estimating consultation and tender review, commissioning, and trade letting which in turn generate a holistic understanding of construction and design management.As a dedicated worker, I give my absolute all to any role I am in. I know that each position I have is another step to my end goal and career aspirations, so I embrace it. I'm so lucky to have met the people I have able to so far and I see the inherent value of networking and building relationships.
