Duties and responsibilities as a traveling superintendent required me to manage all facets of projects from start to finish. Daily interaction with both clients and subcontractors kept transitions between phases of projects smooth and without error. This involved acquiring proposals and bids from subcontractors well in advance of scheduled work to hit deadlines on time and on budget. It also included sourcing materials and resources for all respective installations while ensuring proper staging of materials for each subcontractor. Finally, and likely the most important part of the many duties required of me was monitoring and controlling the installations. Very frequently I would find myself in Austin, San Marcos and San Antonio all in one day to verify subcontractors were executing what was required of them and detailing their actions, hours and manpower in company provided management software known as ProCore. Unfortunate lay off on good terms during company down-sizing.
