While working for Capgemini I worked with a major global aerospace defense company which required going through the MOD SC clearance process. For this client I helped build and design multiple WEB applications which included both timesheet management (HCM) and verification and inspection (PM) tools. I worked closely with key stakeholders to understand the key issues they faced as a business. Once understood, I formulated a business action plan to help resolve the issues, whilst digitalising the process by showing prototypes to help them visualise the end application. I worked closely to help build the project plan giving estimations and identifying any risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies we had and then managing them throughout the project. While working for BP I worked within the Finance Department to help them to improve their process and become more digital. I worked very closely with key stakeholders and ran workshops to gather requirements. I would build prototype applications to demonstrate the process and functionality we planned to build. The focus was to make the process as simple as possible so that a new joiner would be able to pick it up with minimal training. In the end, I helped to design and develop over 10 applications across the Finance department Primarily working on improving the Balance Sheet Assurance and Netting and Settlement process. Significant improvements were made with everything from Solution Design, Architecture, Development, Deployments, Integration, Testing and much more. I also chaired a lot of the meetings including Workshops, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Review, Retrospective and lots more. • Factory work.• Testing.While working in the factory was not my ambition I always worked as hard as possible, this was shown as one company extended my contract continuously until I eventually left. The reason for leaving was I had found a new opportunity with in IT which I was really passionate about. This work was really challenging and I was on my feet all day, it was none stop and there were no exact finish times. So the quicker I worked most days the quicker I would get home or vice versa. This really taught me to work at a faster pace than I maybe would do if I was not pushed to do so. I also had a short spell Testing phone for bugs and faults in the software; testing applications on the phone to make sure they worked correctly; Updating the software on the phones. The work ended early due to a project being cancelled. For this role I had to be very punctual and responsible for myself, with signing in and signing out and completion of time sheets. The fact that I was dealing with a phone that was due for release in the near future I had to keep everything very confidential. Also for this job I had to communicate with my team and tell them about any problems I had come across. I had to follow certain unit testing specifications and follow the company guidelines.

This job included tasks such as.• Imaging new laptops through the domain server.• Checking that computers were connecting to the server.• Updating software on computers.• Checking product keys and windows versions on computers.This contract work was due to last 2 Months but due to early completion the contract came to an end a month early. For this job I had to dress smart and always carry my id badge around with me for identification. I had to be punctual to staff and to the public to keep up a good reputation of the company. Due to the fact staff were working when I had to do my job I had to be very courteous and had to wait for an appropriate time to use their computer. I also had to be good with time keeping as I would have to do more than 1 site of computers a day and I would have to plan my day out to reach my deadline.

At Zenos we were regularly challenged and had to be motivated to problem solve and develop understanding. This also involved hard work and dedication. I had to be very punctual and had good attendance and time keeping at Zenos Academy. The qualifications that I have gained also show that I am enthusiastic and creative.

This job role included• Scanning and saving documents.• Answering customer’s phone calls.• Filing important documents.• Entering account numbers onto documents.This work experience was completed in order to earn my NVQ in Business Administration. I was required to dress appropriately, be punctual and to deal with confidential material. (I therefore had to abide by the Data Protection Act.) This experience helped improve my understanding and appreciation of professionalism in the workplace. I attended work here once a week while doing my NVQ work in my own time while still studying for my GCSE. So this also helped me to manage my time.
