Geologic support for the Rangely Weber Sand Unit and Piceance assets. Responsibilities include workover support and CO2/waterflood analysis and optimization.

• Optimize production: reactive/proactive workover support & recommendations.• Flood Management: waterflood analysis and optimization using subsurface maps and production data (Spotfire).• Integration of engineering data (completions, stimulations, production) into field-wide geologic studies• Petrophysical calculations (porosity calculations, Archie’s Sw, true resistivity) & use of special core data for volumetrics

• Seismic interpretation, quantitative seismic attribute analysis, basic AVO modeling for multiple reservoirs in the Greater Takula Area in the shelf of Angola. Used Petrel, Hampson-Russell, and Geolog.• Real-time well operations, including monitoring active drilling of deviated wells, picking tops, calling casing points/TD, and designing completions for new drills, sidetracks and major rig workovers.• Geosteering experience with one sinusoidal lateral with multiple thin-bed targets. Utilized Petrel and Geolog to guide a sinusoidal lateral and continuously update the planned path as the well was being drilled. Was responsible for communicating well plan updates to the directional driller on the rig.• Responsible for updating current Sw and remaining HPF maps each year for multiple reservoir zones.• Assisted in project maturation for new drills and major rig workovers.

Worked as a graduate teaching assistant for three semesters of Historical Geology lab (Instructor, ~80 undergraduate students) and one semester of Basin Analysis for Petroleum Exploration (Assistant, ~25 graduate students)

Project title: 3D Visualization of Seismic Attributes in the Lower Fayetteville Shale• Interpreted faults and horizons using seismic attributes, generated seismic well ties, and converted interpretations to depth in unconventional shale gas play• Broadly assessed ~40 different attributes for anomalies or links with production by integrating attribute and production data with interpreted surfaces, then selected useful attributes to combine with production and microseismic data for 3D visualization• Qualitatively assessed correlation of a fracture density seismic attribute with microseismic data using 3D visualization and presented results to management

Research focus was the provenance of the Tuscaloosa Formation in eastern Alabama and western Georgia. Methods involved heavy mineral separation, point counting, geochemical data analysis, and preparing/presenting posters at technical conferences.
