As a department Manager I had to fulfill a variety of different roles to ensure the stores success. I ran the men’s department and was responsible for visual merchandising, analyzing reports, and developing my team to impact sales. I oversaw the hiring and scheduling process to help build a strong customer service focused team. Day to day operations like payroll, opening and closing the store were also part of the position.

In this position I had taken on a variety of different roles. I help run the sales floor and provide customers with the highest level of service on both the clothing and bike sides of the shop. I also receive and merchandise product to ensure a welcoming and easy shopping environment for customers. I run the social media for the shop including Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter to help keep old and new customers informed on promotions and products as they become available.Finally, I am the buyer for our men's clothing department. I am curating a selection of brands that ensure the best possible product's for our customer base.

After being hired as a key holder I quickly stepped into a management role at the store and worked my way up to store manager after a year. As store manager I was responsible for running the day to day operations like scheduling, payroll, stock, and achieving sales targets. I would conduct the hiring, training, and performance reviews of all the employees and worked with them to ensure the best customer service was being provided. Over my two years with the company I greatly improved my skill set and gained the experience needed to run a high volume Toronto store front.

As Stock manager I was responsible for receiving and organizing all product coming into the store, as well as implementing a proper stock process to deal with the high volume of stock being received. I would merchandise the product on the sales floor according to planograms and maintain organization of the stock room. I was also a full time sales associate and would provide each customer with the highest level of customer service and help achieve sales targets.

As the stock manager for the store I developed procedures to ensure product was received quickly and efficiently. I maintained organization of the stock room and ensured easy accessibility to back stock and higher value items. I also assisted in merchandising the product on the sales floor to maintain a visually appealing sales environment. In addition to stock duties I would also work on the sales helping with customer inquires, working cash, and managing fitting rooms.
