- Generated 2D CAD models and drawings of HVAC and plumbing layouts for commercial construction projects in AutoCAD and Revit. Also utilized estimation software HAP to simulate building energy usage and calculating energy costs.Supported and collaborated with engineering staff to find creative solutions to numerous projects.PROJECTS WORKED ON AT SUNSET AIR:- Simulated heating/cooling loads for renovated community college building. Using the load results, I chose correctly sized VRF equipment and sketched a layout of the system.- Designed HVAC layout for a small contractor office in Hoquiam, WA. Heating and cooling loads were simulated and outdoor heat pumps and were chosen for the requested ductless split system.- Worked on the HVAC system for a large, renovated office facility for the Department of Defense. Given the new layout, I simulated the heating and cooling loads and chose the necessary equipment for the HVAC system. After the DOAS units were placed by the service department, I drew the layout of the duct and copper piping systems in AutoCAD.- Translated sketches of HVAC and plumbing systems into Revit towards the end of my tenure. A project involving the plumbing and HVAC systems of a geotechnical firm was the most involved. I troubleshooted any clashes that came up during the design of the HVAC system. This included modeling equipment (ovens, sediment traps, air compressors, etc.) the company specified in the project. The plumbing of the building was approached the same manner. Detail drawings of the specified equipment were also made in Revit when the model was near completion.- Collaborated with the Human Resources department to create signage for company safety protocols in CAD.

Created 3D CAD models, drawings, and customer renderings using Solidworks. Project workflow management included gathering work order requirements, preliminary component designing, submitting documents for review, and oversight of project milestones once the product is placed in production. Worked on projects involving reverse engineering of assemblies for modifications. Led a company-wide general dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) course as part of our continuous improvement initiatives. This initiative led to better understanding of interpretation of our customer’s production drawings. Collaborated with other mechanical engineers and designers to develop and prototype new equipment. Collaborated on a workflow improvement plan for the quality control department which created a more robust inspection station. Prepared First Article Inspection reports for component batches using height gauges, calipers, and micrometers. Component tolerances commonly held in thousandths of an inch. Prepared non-conforming reports for quality assurance data. I used these reports in root-cause analyses for corrective action and preventive action planning.

The Cascade Gasket and Manufacturing company is a Boeing manufacturing subcontractor specializing in silicone and foam aircraft seals.• As a full-time student, I also worked full-time in the Product Support Department. My primary responsibilities were to process parts utilizing direct part-marking and lean manufacturing methods. Part of my final production run included the quality control-specific cosmetic inspection of these customer-ready parts.• Assigned as part of a company-wide general dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) course as part of our continuous improvement initiatives. This initiative led to better understanding of interpretation of our customer’s aerospace production drawings. • Also assigned to the materials laboratory where we conducted a variety of material tests to ASTM standards.

• As a lifeguard I assisted with the maintenance and troubleshooting of pool hardware and controls to maintain proper chemical levels and swimming environment. I primarily supervised swimmers to make sure they were swimming within safety protocols.
