Jamgo is the next logical step in my professional carrer. I still have my dream day job, only that now I share it with a bunch of other people who do the same. In Jamgo we build advanced software using the latest technologies and methodologies. We have passion for what we do and how we do it. We also have social responsibility, bearing in mind that this world we live in can be better, and that we can do something about it by using our knowledge and skills.

SiriusWay is the fulfillment of what has been a dream for years - packing my day job with things I love to do. Software development, systems architecture, performance tuning and agile methodologies, blended with the ecommerce business, online marketing, web analytics and adventurous entrepreneurship. Mix and stir all the ingredients and the result is a fresh startup that will provide value to its customers by helping them to make their ecommerce sites faster and more scalable.

As a member of the Architecture Group in the IT Deparment of the Government of Catalonia, my mission was to provide guidance, tools and best practices on application development for all its service providers. I launched initiatives on version control, continuous integration, static code analysis, simplified deployment, knowledge sharing and systematic reuse. All of them were based on open source software like Subversion, Hudson/Jenkins or the Liferay CMS. I also was involved as technical manager for the corporate Java application framework based on Spring and its mobile derivative, a cryptographic service using a HSM, and a digital signature and form generation framework based on Adobe technology.

Along my 18 years working for IBM I participated at several stages of the application development lifecycle. Product support, product development lab, software services development and architecture, using countless technologies and languages. Of all the projects I was involved with, I'm particularly proud of leading the development of a custom service bus written in Java for one of the biggest banks in Spain, for which we applied agile practices and performance tuning techniques to achieve high throughput rates, adaptability to changing requirements and in the end customer satisfaction. Another highly rewarding experience was to lead the IBM Spain Java developer's community, where several formal and informal knowledge sharing practices were put in place. I was also very pleased to enter the world of small businesses for the first time by helping them to adopt the DB2 Universal Database. Having joined the company from a scientific education path, I owe much of what I learned about software development to the people at the LANDP development lab where I spent the first years of my career.
