Jordi is long experienced and skilled Legal Counsel in Banking Industry, specialized in management and protection of intangible assets and data protection. Currently, as a Senior Legal Counsel at the Corporate Legal Department of Caixabank, he is advising in intellectual property, brand protection, licenses of technology and data protection, having a close relationship with the Communication, Brand and Technological Security Departments.Prior the current position he has had a long career in Caixa d’Estalvis i Pensions de Barcelona “la Caixa" as a legal counsel, advising in banking operations, IT projects and software contracts with big suppliers. During this time he has developed a good negotiation skills. He also was advising, as a consultant, some SME in the field of renewable energies, industrial real estate, and import-export operations. Previously he was Deputy Judge (1994 and 1998) of the Courts of Barcelona and other important close towns.He became a member of the Barcelona Bar Association (1998) and Certified Data Privacy Professional (2014). He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (1992), a Master in European Union Law (1994) (both in the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona), a Master in International Commerce and Finances (1996) (Universitat de Barcelona), a Postgraduate studies in IT Law (2004) (ESADE Business and Law School). He also started in 1998 courses in the field of business law in order to obtain a PhD.He is the Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the APWG.EU Foundation (Antiphising Working Group), a foundation leading the fight against crime in internet.As a lecturer he is currently giving his lectures about Regulatory and Legals at MBA studies of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Tarragona) and evaluating students' business plans.He holds (2016) a Master of Business Administration at the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore and some courses in the business field hels in US.
