I was tasked with ensuring that the Black Caucus maintained strong relations with other organizations and established a chapter presence in all 50 states and territories to advocate for the Black community.

I collaborated with other youth to develop ideas and opportunities aimed at helping Democrats win in battleground and traditionally conservative states.

I partnered with youth nationwide to develop initiatives aimed at preventing gun violence.

-Chair of the Student Steering Committee (Youth Advisory Committee for IL YAG).-Advocated and helped secured state funding for IL YAG.-Policy portfolio includes a focus on civic engagement and internal programming reform.

I participated in a week-long conference debating national and international issues with youth delegates from across the nation at the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly. Participated in the 2023 and 2024 conferences. Accomplishments include being a 2024 Committee Chair along with receiving the Outstanding Statesman Award (one of 30 out of 600 delegates to receive this award).

-Nominee for 2024-2025 Youth Lieutenant Governor of Illinois. -Served as a State Senator and passed legislation focusing on eliminating higher education requirements for state personnel jobs.-Served as Chief of Staff to the Youth Lt. Governor, Committee Chair, and Member of the Student Steering Committee.

-Served as one of nine Assistant Directors of Lobbyist. The role consisted of ensuring effective operations of the lobbyist branch.-Only lobbyist at the 2023 General Assembly to get a bill passed and signed by the Youth Governor. The bill focused on crisis intervention.-Named as one of the Top 3 most effective lobbyists.

Assisted in the operations of the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Foundation, primarily focusing on the Afterschool Program. Worked with disadvantaged students to improve their reading and comprehension skills through the i-Ready software. Provided additional support to ensure the smooth functioning of foundation activities when needed.

Led and facilitated youth development programs, fostering personal growth. Collaborated with the Program Management team to plan, implement, and evaluate camp events. Managed accurate attendance records and ensured smooth check-in and departure processes for participants. Supervised participants during meal times and field trips, upholding a safe environment in line with JJKF policies. Built strong relationships with parents, participants, and staff, serving as a positive mentor and leader. Addressed any concerns immediately with the Program Manager to maintain a well-organized camp experience. Committed to supporting the foundation’s mission of "Winning in Life" and "The JJK Way." Recognized with the Top Facilitator Award for the 2024 Summer Camp.

Collaborated with the Danforth Center, the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Foundation, and the University of Illinois Extension. Key responsibilities included:-Implementing science curriculum for disadvantaged students, enhancing their understanding and engagement with scientific concepts.-Advising scientists on effective strategies for educating disadvantaged youth, ensuring accessible and impactful learning experiences.-Performing various administrative and office tasks as needed, contributing to the smooth operation of the program.
