The project requires creation of tailored LCA datasets, relying on mass and energy balances of processes involved in extraction, purification, and manufacturing of raw materials. The interpretation of results will include developing recommendations and presenting to a large company audience.

This position involved event innovation, targeting the international student cohort within Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at the University of Melbourne; a particular cohort which has historically represented a small fraction of those involved with social events on campus within this student society. As International Officer I developed the quarterly event, 'Coffee & Donuts', a successful social event for both international and domestic students within the cohort. A large improvement in international student attendance was observed and this event is now established and continuing four times per academic calendar year.

I performed a Gap Analysis of site compliance to cleaning standard specifications, including Clean in Place (CIP), Clean out of Place (COP), and Manual Cleaning. This included a verification of CIP, COP, and Manual Cleaning procedure efficacy involving independently inoculating and interpreting over 400 microbiological agar plates. This also involved a comprehensive investigation of the site wide environmental contamination and the creation of trend heat maps. I generated process flow diagrams for the milk pasteurizing, cheese making, and packaging departments across site in addition to chemical record registers, where I collated site and department chemical comparisons.

Volunteer research assistant position for a PhD student from James Cook University, ARC Centre of Excellence on Coral Reefs. Collected and transported samples of two live species of Acropora corals from Davies Reef to the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS); including six days of scuba diving, assembling a 32 tank irrigation system for transportation of coral branches, and five volunteers. Fragmented 900 samples prior to their distribution in the experiment room of Australia’s National Sea Simulator (three temperature treatments x three partial pressure of carbon dioxide treatments with three replicate tanks; 27 tanks in total). Conducted sampling of respirometry, PCO2, temperature, buoyant weight and coral health of all corals as well as processed output data collected. Exhibited technical skills both in the field as well as in a laboratory setting and was trained on all technical equipment found in the Sea Simulator.
