Trade Compliance & Business Strategy Intern
● Trade Compliance Oversight: Overseeing and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, sanctions, and export/import laws to mitigate risks and ensure the company's adherence to global trade requirements.● Documentation Management: Managing and maintaining accurate records and documentation associated with import and export activities, including invoices, licences, permits, and shipping documents, to ensure meticulous record-keeping and readiness for audits.● Audit and Assessment: Conducting internal compliance audits and assessments to proactively identify potential compliance issues, areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions to enhance compliance procedures.● Financial Analysis and Budgeting: Collaborating with the finance team to analyse the financial aspects of international trade activities, actively participating in budgeting for trade compliance initiatives, and conducting cost analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities within trade compliance processes. Integrating financial management strategies to optimise trade-related expenses.● Risk Management: Identifying and assessing potential compliance risks associated with trade activities and contributing to the development of strategies and protocols to mitigate these risks effectively.● Regulatory Research: Continuously monitoring and researching changes in international trade laws and regulations to stay updated with evolving compliance requirements and providing guidance on their implementation.● Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborating across departments and teams to ensure that trade compliance is integrated seamlessly into the company's operational processes.● Business Strategy Development: Collaborating with the business strategy team to contribute insights and analysis that inform the development of forward-thinking business strategies, supporting CP Group's vision for growth and innovation.
