Stream Dream - Group ProjectREACT | EXPRESS.JS | NODE.JS | JAVASCRIPT | S3 | POSTGRESQL | STYLED COMPONENTS Stream Dream, or SDream, is a web application thats purpose is to be able to upload videos and have other users watch said videos, just like Youtube. SDream allows for users to also comment on videos and follow users they like, showing a list of followed users ordered by the most recent video upload.The front end was developed with React.js, and Styled-Components for CSS.The back end was created with Node.js and Express, used to handle the asynchronous calls. Accessing the PostgreSQL database was managed by Knex.js. Upon video Upload, the video would be sent to the back end and then sent up to a S3 bucket, implemented with the official AWS SDK for JavaScript, and then a index created for the video on the database. Wan-Wan Notifications - Personal ProjectREACT, NODE, JAVASCRIPT, CRON, POSTGRESQL, STYLED COMPONENTS, EXPRESS, AUTH0, OAUTH/OAUTH2Wan-Wan Notifications is a real life version of "Wuphf.com" from the show "The Office".What Wan-Wan does is allows users to input an account from any supported site, which are currently Twitter and Reddit, and receive notifications about any new posts from an email or a twitter message. I utilized React to create the front end of Wan Wan Notifications, using styled-components to handle styling and to make the site responsive. Using Node.js and Express for the back end I handled all the RESTful requests and used Knex to connect to a PostgreSQL hosted on the cloud. In the back end I handled all of the requests on intervals, creating a generic function to handle every api request and response I would want, including those added in the future.
