Developed a simulator in Python that sent simulated satellite data messages via UDP to a ground network. Manipulated JSON data templates according to user specifications input via JSON format. Worked with socket programming to connect sender machine to ground network receiver, then implemented multithreading to enable simultaneous broadcasts of data to various components within ground network. Generated runtime logs per company specifications. Used Git version control and worked extensively with remote connections. Completed project start-to-end during internship program. Delivered regular code reviews and in-team status presentations. Use of simulator revealed two critical bugs in existing implementation of ground network receiver codebase. Concluded internship program by presenting project and results to executive leadership team.
