About Jordyn Manczyk

Jordyn (she/her/hers) is the Program Coordinator of Academic Preparation and Achievement in the department of Transformative Learning at the University of Kentucky. She coordinates UK's first-year experience course, UK 101, as well as placement testing and college readiness coursework in reading, writing, and math. She is a current Ph.D. candidate at the University of Kentucky studying Educational Policy Studies in Higher Education. She has taught at the collegiate level since 2015 in English, creative writing, college readiness, and first-year experience courses. She has a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Kentucky, and a BA in Creative Writing from Asbury University.

    I coordinate (manage enrollment, course implementation, update course catalogue, instructor hiring, instructor training) coursework offered by the Office of Transformative Learning included but not limited to UK 101, 125, and 201. I also support the development of coursework to support additional student success needs including, but not limited to probation and suspended students. I also oversee all placement testing for incoming APP students (in the areas of Math, Reading, and Writing) and students within colleges that advise and/or require placement testing, as well as coordinate additional on-campus proctored testing.
