Hi, I'm Jordyn. As a current student at Monash University, studying a double degree of Laws (Honours) and Science, it is my dream to find my niche and unleash the knowledge and love of learning that I thrive on. Until then, I'm keen to dip my toes into whatever comes my way, with discipline and an open mind as my guide. Since graduating from Xavier High School North Albury in 2020 with an ATAR of 99.1, I have engaged in both full-time and part-time work in my gap year, with roles varying from courier to administration and child-care/early education, and customer service to private high school and university tutoring. With this score, I was able to dux my high school and set myself up for my current degree amidst an unlikely environment. It is my ultimate dream to work for the UN or to pioneer a new system of Legal Aid in disadvantaged and war-torn countries such as across Eastern Africa or in Ukraine, in effort to eradicate all forms of inequality in our current legal and socio-economic sphere. In the meantime, I am most interested in environmental and civil law and am seeking a paralegal role whilst I complete my undergraduate. I love public speaking, debating including at the Monash Moot court, music, the arts and film, as well as taking care of myself physically through a love of football and basketball and emotionally through meditation, running and pilates. I also have a passion for science as shown through the other half of my double degree, as well as the arts and music.Since moving to Melbourne/Naarm in 2022 at 19, I have embedded myself in both an academic and cultural sense through working at the MCG and starting my own record and events company, through which myself and my business partner produce music and DJ at venues across Melbourne and Sydney. I also attended Newman College in 2023 which has further substantiated my social and professional network. I have tutored English, Mathematics, Legal Studies (all HSC) and Criminal Law (Monash) and I'm keen to continue to learn and share it with my peers and the wider world. I also have a valid Working with Children's Check (WWCC), a Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate and a First Aid/CPR qualification (NSW). Looking forward to having a chat!
