My name is Jordyn Rouse and I graduated from Central Michigan University with a BSBA in Business Information Systems and a focus in SAP. I am currently working for at Willis Towers Watson in Ann Arbor, MI as a Benefits Outsourcing Software Developer in the Health Benefits sector of the company. I am a full stack developer and I am responsible for ensuring that our clients are up and running smoothly. I regularly work with project managers, business analysts and the client to work through any obstacles we face. I help manage everything for our Fortune 500 clients from their servers to their data. As a person in benefits administration, I regularly take trainings on the different government regulations in healthcare, I take HIPPAA and security courses due to the information I handle. My focus is to find the best solutions for my client, while following all of the laws and guidelines from all of the parties involved. Besides my regular responsibilities as senior developer, I also am the lead developer for my client delivery team of 4 developers (including myself), as well as a people manager for the three other developers on my team, two of which live out of the country. I also have worked on our Product team writing base code, created command scripts and the logic to create copied databases for our new hires to use during training, that has all of the specific updates ready in one click. I also helped re-write the entire onboarding process for developers in my line of work. I am highly involved in both our University Recruiting program for technical roles, STEM programs for local middle schools and will be participating in our mentorship program as both a mentor and mentee at WTW.For the future I plan to get a Master's of Engineering in Computer Science in the upcoming years.I work daily with C#, Razor, HTML5, CSS, SQL, JQuery and JavaScript.
