I consider myself a microbiology enthusiast, idealist and environmentalist who firmly believes Science is the solution for many of the challenges facing humanity. Following those ideals I have spent the last twenty years studying at different prestigious institutions around the World. I got a PhD in microbial ecology and physiology and in 2010 I joined Jay Keasling’s Lab to specialize in molecular biology, metabolic engineering and biochemistry Seven years ago I transitioned from academia into industry to turn all that knowledge into real-world solutions. I decided to join ZymoChem, a small StartUp compared to more established companies in the field, because I believe its carbon conserving pathway technology constitutes a game changer in the field of industrial fermentationAll this time I have demonstrated to be an innovative scientist with R&D leadership and the ability to build high-performing teams.
