Chief Geophysicist managing a group of people in charge of quality control and data processing on seismic acquisition field crews. Responsibilities:- Project planning, Start-up tests and management, QC and processing jobs flow building and implementation, parameters testing and evaluation 2D/3D land crews. Determine optimal data field processing sequence and parameters selection through comprehensive systematic and logical testing.- Strong liaison with crew Manager and Client Representative. Field QC and Field processing until final data delivery to the processing center. Ensuring that data deliverables are to the highest company and client industry standard.- Develop and maintain field procedures for Quality Control: necessary scripts, tools and procedures used for seismic data quality control, processing to improve performance/method in order to adapt to client's requests and multiple final deliverables and reports. - Monitor the in-house QC software/sequence to validate daily surveyor/drilling/recording production (multiples sources and sensors, all non-seismic attributes, positioning, source characteristics). Ensuring that it is in accordance with the designated processing and QC procedures and contract specifications, while embodying high HSE standards.- Train and mentor junior personnel and new hires.
