Throughout my 25 years of teaching fellows, residents, and medical students, I observed a critical issue in surgical education: operating rooms often function in isolation, hindering the exchange of knowledge among surgeons. To address this, I spent two years developing STYCH.TV, a secure video collaboration platform for surgeons, that now hosts the Surgical Streaming Society. By breaking down barriers and fostering a global community dedicated to surgical excellence, STYCH.TV democratizes surgical education, aiming to improve surgical care and help save lives worldwide.In the current healthcare landscape, surgeons often struggle to share their expertise and learn from their peers outside of their OR. Traditional surgical education methods are limited by geographical boundaries, time constraints, and the inability to provide immediate feedback. This results in slower dissemination of innovative techniques and best practices, ultimately affecting the quality of patient care.The Surgical Streaming Society hosted on STYCH.TV is the solution to this problem. Our platform enables surgeons to live stream their procedures, share insights, and engage in real-time discussions with a global audience. This connectedness fosters continuous learning and collaboration, ensuring that surgeons can stay at the forefront of their fields.
