Mr. Fabre is the Associate Dean & Executive Director of the Instituto de Alta Dirección Anáhuac, (Institute for Business Leaders), IADA, at Anahuac University´s Business School. He was Provost & Academic Vice Rector of Anahuac University from 2015 to 2023. He was Dean of Anahuac del Sur University's Business School from 1996 to 2014. Since 2003 he is the chairman & founder of the Center for Excellence in Corporate Governance of Mexico; he is a Senior Advisor at Morrow Sodali, a leading provider of strategic advice and shareholder services to corporate clients around the world; and Managing Partner at Fabre Advisors/Governance Capital where he has advised financial market authorities, institutes of directors, family offices & more than one hundred companies & nonprofits in Mexico & abroad. Professor of corporate governance. Co-author of the 2006 book “La Institucionalización de la Empresa: Casos de Éxito en Gobierno Corporativo”, published by the Global Corporate Governance Forum & the Center for International Private Enterprise. He designed the ESG Index methodology at the Mexican Stock Exchange & chaired its evaluation committee from 2010 to 2019 until it was sold to Standard & Poor’s. He serves as an independent director on two publicly traded corporations: Punto Casa de Bolsa -brokerage & investment bank- where he chairs the Audit Committee; Fibra Educa -real estate investment trust specialized in educational facilities- where he chairs the Audit Committee & is a member of the Corporate Governance & the Compensation Committees; and on two privately held companies: ezetera -educational ecommerce platform- ; and On Ventures -venture capital fund-. He served from 2010 to 2016 on the Advisory Board of the Center for Global Markets & Corporate Ownership at Columbia University and from 2004 to 2010 on the Millstein Center for Corporate Governance at Yale University. He has served on the board of directors of several industrial, financial & pharmaceutical corporations for the past 20 years.His non profit activities include chairing the editorial board at Editorial LID Mexico; member of the board of trustees at Casa de la Amistad para Niños con Cáncer IAP; member of the board of directors at Catholic.net & Zenit.org; member of the Pension Funds Certification Board at RiskMathics and mentor of entrepreneurs at Endeavor Mexico. He holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering with honorary achievement & an MBA with a minor in Finance from Anahuac del Sur University; and a Masters in Business Leadership from Duxx Graduate School of Business Leadership.
