In this project, different protective treatments, most of them silane-siloxanes from Evonik Industries, were evaluated in order to hinder the oxidation process of sulphides present in slate slabs. In this project, different protective treatments, most of them silane-siloxanes from Evonik Industries, were evaluated in order to hinder the oxidation process of sulphides present in slate slabs. The aim of the project was to find a solution that would increase the durability of the slates against this problem and therefore ensure the economic and market sustainability of this natural resource. En este proyecto se optimizó el proceso de concentración y refino de la explotación minera áridos do Mendo S.L., así como el método para la caracterización de la ley de minerales densos presentes en áridos cuarcíticos de sedimentos aluviales que son explotados en esta explotación.
