Jorge Gonzalez has more than 36 years of banking experience. He joined City National Bank of Florida in 2009 and became the Chief Executive Officer in 2010. He is currently the CEO and Vice Chairman of the Board. A native Miamian, he places community, education, health, and culture at the heart of his driving philosophy.Jorge has been named as one of Florida’s Most Influential Business Leaders by Florida Trend Magazine multiple times. He has twice been named “Ultimate CEO” by the South Florida Business Journal and recognized among the “Top Ten Leaders” by Hispanic Executive Magazine. He was also honored as “Corporate Citizen of the Year” by the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce. In 2023, Comparably recognized Jorge in the categories for Best CEOs and Best CEOs for Diversity. Comparably is a platform that monitors employee reviews to collect workplace culture and compensation data.Jorge is active in several charity and community organizations. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital System, FIU CasaCuba, and the Institute of Contemporary Art. He is also a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization. Jorge is married to Melinda Gonzalez and is the proud father of teenage twins.
