In my 26-year trajectory in the global capital markets, I have worked in multiple capacities and fields, such as investment advisory, wealth management, private banking, international markets analysis, global fixed-income trading, relationship management, treasury portfolio management, and debt capital markets. This trajectory includes working for 15 years for the Treasury Departments of two multilateral development banks and consulting in debt capital markets for a United Nations agency. I have also worked for Oppenheimer & Co., an overseas branch of Scotiabank wealth management, and Florida-based and offshore broker-dealers. I successfully co-managed a fixed-income portfolio of approximately USD 1.5 billion during the World Financial Crisis. In this role, I was the portfolio manager of a proprietary fixed-income portfolio composed of investment-grade and Emerging-Market bonds, structured credit products, and asset swaps. I was also responsible for overseeing investments in third-party asset managers and funds with mandates in investment grade, foreign exchange, and EM / Frontier markets. My responsibilities also included overseeing investments in private equity funds. My trajectory includes several years working in the global debt capital markets, leading multiple bond issuances and their derivatives hedging throughout North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia. My experience also includes consulting for a sustainable finance and debt capital markets project in Africa. In these debt capital market roles, I formed a vast network of global institutional investors and counterparties such as pension funds, mutual funds, insurance companies, corporate treasurers, brokerages, investment banks, and sovereign wealth funds. I also continuously engaged with sovereigns, regulators, SROs, central banks, rating agencies, and multilateral organizations.I currently hold FINRA Series 7 and 65 licenses.
