Supervise business department operations for Honduras’ oldest and largest bank to ensure corporate compliance with local and international laws, regulations, policies, standards, and processes.Serve as legal counsel on all issues related to asset seizure procedures, prevention of money laundering, terrorist financing and bank fraud. Ensure the highest quality and ethical standards and provide effective, immediate, and practical solutions to bank departments and staff. Implement and monitor strategies related to AML Laws and Regulations, Know Your Customer (KYC), Know Your Employee (KYE), Know Your Supplier and other international laws, regulations and standards related to the prevention of money laundering and global efforts to counter terrorist and criminal network financing in Central America. Supervise compliance with Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) regulations and ensure compliance with U.S. tax regulations under the FATCA Agreement signed between Honduras and the United States. Lead preparation of annual report to the IRS through the National Banking and Insurance Commission of U.S. Persons.
