Under Jorge's leadership, steeluniversity has grown into a recognized leader in providing high-quality e-learning and development programs that serve the needs of the steel sector and the value change globally. His commitment to excellence, coupled with his deep understanding of industry requirements, has helped to establish steeluniversity as a key contributor to support growth and development of the steel industry and the value chain.Jorge passionate about collaborative work and its potential to create deeper changes in the way people relate, learn, and apply knowledge to create a sustainable ecosystem to live. Therefore, Jorge is an active member of European Steel Skills Agenda (ESSA) and Skills Alliance for Industrial Symbiosis (SPIRE-SAIS) to identify future skills need, the impact of technology in the workers and develop a collaborative online training ecosystem to upskill and reskill workers and students.

As Manager, steeluniversity, I take a leadership role in the delivery of education and training through steeluniversity. A key component of the work is the rejuvenation of steeluniversity’s e-learning platform, including implementation of a new learning management system and updating of the training modules, simulations and develop innovative tools for training (VR and AR).

Since Nov. 2009 I have performed remote and in-situ Technical Support and Training for the following companies: Tenaris/Hickman, Tenaris/TuboCaribe, Tenaris/Conroe, TenarisHydrill/McCarty, TenarisHydrill/Aberdeen and TenarisUniversity to improve Quality and Production indicators. Some of the most relevant project performed are: • Sep 2013. Implementation of Positioning Chuck in Threading Machine at Tenaris Hickman Facility. This equipment helps to reduce quality problem in Threading Process.• May 2013. Develop Four Coursebooks and 3D Animation for Threading Machine Maintenance Course for TenarisUniversity.• Jul 2012. Design and Implementation of Linear Rollers System for Beveller Machine in Tenaris/Hickman facility. Due to quality and production problem a new Linear Roller Guide have been implemented. The quality and production indicators have been improved since this modification. • Jul 2011. Technical Support during Threading Machine CNC Revamping at Tenaris/Hickman facility. • Aug 2011. Technical Support during CNC conversion of Threading Machine at Tenaris/Hickman Facility in US• Sep. 2011. Technical Support during CNC conversion of Threading Machine at Tenaris/TuboCaribe Facility in Colombia.
