• Worked with the Twitter Scaled Enforcement Tools Team on the Profile Viewer tool backend integration with different internal services within Twitter. Solving Agent reported bugs related to user Email changes and AuditLogs that will help Agents with user account inspection and Email history for account recovery in hacking cases.• Worked on the Safer-Thorn integration project which will enable Twitter to detect and report to authorities, in a very fast way, many sensitive media violations of children exploitation. For this project we are using Google Cloud Platform Pub/Sub, Kubernetes along with Scala and Thrift to build endpoints and process data.• Worked in the Blue Badge verification mark, which I helped launch into production on May 20th 2021 and now giving some production support. I have worked on helping integrate the Twitter Verification flow with Dow Jones factiva API, by creating Python Rest endpoint using Flask, getting Dow Jones snapshots data, into ElasticSearch and then using it to validate verification user requests. Also we had to implement a Scheduled Job to refresh Dow Jones snapshots weekly so the validation data keeps updated in ElasticSearch.

I was a key member of the MLS Internalization team in Zaplabs onsite, where we have developed several data pipelines for processing the very diverse RETS protocol implementation from different vendors. In this project we had to solve several challenges like: download, canonicalize, standardize, enrich and publish RETS data by using a diverse array of technologies including Scala, Spark, NiFi, AWS (S3, EMR, Lambdas, Batch, StepFunctions, SNS, ElasticCache), Kafka, ElasticSearch. We had 200+ MLS internalization released to Production for different RETS data vendors.

I have worked on some game changing microservices for integration with data brokers, such microservices are standard-value, ListingsDirect and rets-config-builder. My responsibilities went from help defining the kanban backlog in grooming sessions, designing, developing, unit-testing and maintaining the applications code to support production deployments.

Worked as Java Backend developer on a project for World Fuel Services, where I was in charge of design, implement and test (applying BDD and TDD) the solution for scenario definitions, using Restful Services for implementing a process to help improving their accounting process in a more automated way and streamline the process with almost no human intervention.

I worked for Southwest Airlines as the Tech Lead of an agile POD with a small size team of 15 engineers in the Revenue Management II project.As a Technical Lead I was responsible for the technical guidance and general quality of the code that we as a team produce; foreseeing the possible risk or issues the team would have and take actions to avoid them as much as possible; negotiate with the customer what work could be done each Sprint and assign the work to each member of the team based on his technical capacity.

Marathon Deployer – Built a deployer in Golang to communicate with Marathon API to deploy LAN dockerized services to the Mesos Cluster.Implemented recipes in Bash for configuring/start/stop a High Availability cluster with Mesos/Marathon/Zookeeper.PoCs of different Cluster-Managers – Evaluated the Apache Mesos with Marathon and Zookeeper and also Evaluated Google Kubernetes.Implemented Nagios Plugins in Python to observe the resources of docker containers.Profiling and tunning docker – Built a bash script using Apache AB to simulate multiple request with different docker container parameters and arrange the performance results in order to identify the best configuration for that docker container under test.Docker - Migration of a group of Java LAN Services to the micro services architecture using Docker.PoC to profiling the performance of different JSON libraries with JMeter – Jackson vs Gson, vs Smile (Binary Format)

Designed and built the backend services in Rest and SOAP (XSDs) using RestEasy, Spring and Orika-Mapper to read/write DB and other legacy services at LAN in order to allow the user to generate its own luggage/bag Tag before going to check-in at the airport counter.Automated test cases for these the backend services using tools like JBehave, Jmockit, Selenium Webdriver, Jenkins and Sonar.

At Vertical Technologies I was responsible for designing and building a prototype project backend for connecting with Amadeus Web Services using Apache ServiceMix, Apache CXF and Apache Camel, applying Enterprise Integration Patterns, while using also Spring Framework for Dependency Injection and Maven for Dependency Management. The prototype was finished and then certified by Amadeus WS certification test process. I played both roles architect and developer.

I was hired at Tech and Solve as an outsourcing developer/maintainer to work in the headquarters of his most important customer: Suramericana de Inversiones (http://www.sura.com/) which is a big south american company and its business are all kind of insurance contracts. There I did implement some new functionalities for the big apps in Java (back-end processes and desktop based apps) as part of the modernization of the company core business: Insurance Issuing Process.
