He is an Industrial Designer and International Trade professional with over 20 years of experience spanning various PET business areas, including I+R&D, sales, and marketing. After university, he co-founded Moldintec, transforming it from an independent blow mold manufacturer into a globally recognized blowing tooling solution provider. This transition entailed offering comprehensive services from bottle design to mold manufacturing and specialized blowing machine tooling, eventually earning the trust of the world’s leading beverage companies.Since 1998, he has led Moldintec’s expansion worldwide, establishing the Brazil Branch in 2008. After the delay suffered by the Pandemic, Moldintec Brazil is starting up its first mold-manufacturing robotized unit—a milestone for the company, getting full production capability for that market.Since 2018, he has managed Moldintec’s Mexico commercial branch with the local country manager. His expertise in PET packaging development, bottle improvement, and blow mold design has been pivotal in the beverage and packaging industry. He co-authored a patent for a low-blowing pressure PET blow mold and process in 2009, marking a milestone in his career. Under his leadership since 2017, Moldintec has pioneered the development of innovative laser-based technologies, leading the transformation towards label-less PET bottles. The NoLabel technology, which eliminates the need for conventional added labels, was awarded the prestigious WorldStar Award in 2022, reinforcing his position as a leader in sustainable packaging solutions.A patent claim for the XPBottle project was recently presented, an innovative solution designed to leverage the expansion properties of PET bottles during the filling process. This technology aims to reduce plastic usage significantly without compromising the container’s integrity, representing a breakthrough in sustainable packaging.His team’s research has evolved into the NoLabel EVO project, focusing on expanding the use of laser engraving to imprint complex graphic information directly onto the PET bottle’s skin. This ink-free method offers greater design flexibility and aligns with his commitment to environmental sustainability by eliminating traditional labels.As the head of Moldintec’s R&I Team, he continues to drive the company’s focus towards developing more sustainable, efficient, and innovative packaging solutions. The XPBottle project and NoLabel EVO research testify to his unwavering dedication to redefining industry standards and contributing to a more sustainable planet.
