This position is related to the managing of projects related to assessment and consulting in Quality, planning, consulting and technical services accomplishment in aeronautical and industry in general.

The activities performed in this position covered the reorganization of the area as it was established per corporate goals, to make a new and independent business capable of giving ground services to third parties. An average of 650 people was managed per the guidelines of ISO 9001 standard and administrative tooling applicable to the operation. It was also responsibility of this position, to have available and on time, all the required ground support equipment and managing of the ground personnel (650 persons) including baggage, ramp cleaning of the aircraft and preventive & corrective maintenance of the equipment. It was achieved and implemented all the required by the IOSA standard, to get the certification of the system

The activities of this position, covered both: the issuing and the implementation of the Avianca (FAR 129 Operator) Security Program, at domestic and international stations; it was also managed, the permanent surveillance of the security contractors where applicable, and the Liaison activities with Transport Security Administration (TSA), INS (CBP – US) and local civil and police authorities. It was achieved and implemented all the required by the IOSA standard, to get the certification of the system

The activities performed involved the establishment of the Quality Assurance philosophy in the technical inspector’s job, as a part of the accomplishment of the civil regulations applicable for Avianca as FAR 145 CRS and FAR 129 Operator with regards to FAA, JAR 145 AMO with regards to JAA and RAC with regards to Colombian Civil Authority (UAEAC)

The activities developed in this position, were mainly directed to the implementation of the Quality Assurance Program as well the attendance of the audits to the system by aircraft owners, civil authorities, third parties and the correspondent follow up to the reports & actions taken in accordance with the internal processes.It was also the responsibility of this position, to lead the certification process of Avianca Maintenance, under JAR 145 (IAA) and ISO 9001 (BVQI).

The activities in this position were based on the design and the implementation of the Quality Assurance Program for Avianca – Maintenance, covering the requirements of the civil authorities such as FAA, RLD, IAA, UAEAC, and aircraft owners. It was also responsibility of this position the issuing of the applicable quality & procedures manuals, check lists, accomplishment indicators, strategic planning and the accomplishment of internal audits of the system so the improving process could keep going.
