Vice President of DB Engineering, Consulting and Operations North America, with 27 years of experience in Engineering, Management, Mobility and Railways Industry including systems infrastructure, operations and maintenance.After graduating UPB University as an electronic engineer in 1995 he got a degree in project management from EAFIT Business Administration and Finance School University. He started his career as a signaling and train control engineer with Siemens AG Railways Transportation. He worked as a Telecommunications Engineer at NEC Nippon Electric Company and as a consultant at IBM for IT and Networks infrastructure. In 2003 he was appointed CTO and Project Director at SYTECSA, responsible for Rail systems projects delivery, Operations and maintenance. In 2006 he took over the role as CEO and Project Director of ECA Aerial Cable Car Company funded by the Inter-American Development Bank to design, supply and launch the operation and maintenance of the Cable Cars Project. Back at SYTECSA in 2009 he was appointed CTO directing the company’s engineering force. In 2015 he became Project Director at Deutsche Bahn Engineering and Consulting. In Saudi Arabia he supervised the design and construction of track, systems and rolling stock for high-speed railways, in Qatar he directed the project “Long Distance Shadow Operator” for passenger high-speed and heavy haul railway. Overseeing design review, operational and maintenance plans. In 2016 he was appointed as Consortium Project Director for Bombardier Transportation for Bangkok Mass Transit System green line extension. in 2018 he was appointed Project Director for the California High Speed "Early Train Operator"
