• Supervises other System Technicians and ensures they are up-to-date with training on different platforms, silicon and other Intel proprietary hardware and software.• Perform Functional, Regression, Acceptance and other test types • Experience with database programming with MySQL, SQL Server 2014• Experience with installing/configuring VMWare using Ubuntu 16.04 as client systems. • Documents and validate customer requirements by applying best practices and procedures from emerging technology.• Partner with engineers to debug and resolve bottlenecks, deficiencies and errors so we may continue with setup/tuning of hardware and/or software. • Gather power and performance metrics with mWeb/SPECPower software configured with PHP, Java, PCRE, OpenSSL, Nginx, and Python.• Strong networking skills with the use of 1GB, 10GB and 40GB Extreme, Cisco and Infiniband switches.• Knowledgeable with KVM hardware such as Avocent. Ability to cascade KVMS and able to set KVMs up with power management switch to remotely cycle, startup/shutdown any system connected. Familiar with updating firmware.• Prepare and configure servers and desktops with necessary video/chipset/network drivers in Windows or Linux operating system. Setting up RAID volumes in Windows or Linux operating system. Configuring DHCP or static addresses in Windows or Linux operating system.• Documents and creates presentations using MS Word/Excel and/or PowerPoint• Coordinates with other personnel or departments with issues such as bug/defect analysis and resolving problems any hardware/software issues.• Assists with inventory control making sure extra parts are available in case a problem occurs. • Responsible for over $10k ever quarter for hardware/software purchases to keep lab efficient and ready for any given task/project.• Other duties include making sure test equipment such as multi meter, power meter (Yokogawa WT210 and WT310) is configured and maintained.
