About Jorge Morón Vidal
I hold a PhD in Mathematical Engineering. Throughout my doctoral studies, I completed three international visits, co-authored four papers, and participated in six international conferences. As a researcher, I am interested in parallel algorithms going from the mathematical foundations of their formulation to their implementation in HPC facilities. Before my PhD, I got a BSc in Physics and a double-diploma master's in Theoretical Physics and Physics and Physical Technologies from the University of Zaragoza and CY Cergy Paris University. From those years studying physics, I have maintained a keen interest in exploring and solving real-world problems.I consider myself a motivated and objective-oriented worker who thrives in collaborative and international team environments. I have experience asking for competitive grants and managing HPC projects. As a developer, I have over 5 years of expertise in C++ with a strong focus on OOP and parallelization with MPI and OpenMP. I have hands-on experience implementing Monte Carlo and numerical linear algebra algorithms.
