Now we call this area RAG / Tool use.At Directly (now Movate), we automated and distributed support, building a platform to create classifier models from client unstructured data, using Human-In-The-Loop pipelines to power chatbots, routers, and our own task distribution systems for gig workers to get rewards for training models. Now we call this RLHF.In 2023, we founded Integrait Solutions, using our experience taking AI applications to production to help companies of all sizes benefit from the new wave of available tools and models. TravelCareer Break Aug 2022 - Nov 2022Having devoted a decade to relentless work in Data & AI through what came to be known as the "last" AI winter, and celebrating my recent green card status, I decided to grant myself what I thought would be a sabbatical "year" in August '22. As an immigrant to the US, you're limited on time between jobs (30-60 days), and I have been a bit of a workaholic. So this marked my first substantial time off in 11 years and presented a long-awaited opportunity to reconnect with loved ones back in other continents after COVID forced me and many others to stay in the same country for too long.My journey took me across the diverse landscapes of South America (Chile, Bolivia, Colombia), to the warm embrace of family in Spain, and further to bask in the culture of further lands. From Eastern Europe to the edge of the world, bearing witness to a breathtaking wedding in India after being overwhelmed by Turkey's historical treasures and the Himalayas' views.Throughout this time, I engaged in introspection, heavy reading, and writing, fostering the development of previously locked ideas and planning for the future. This invaluable period of personal growth re-energized my spirit. But then, suddenly... the unveiling of ChatGPT—an industry-transforming innovation in my own field!—compelled me to truncate my sabbatical to 5 months (but oh what months!). Coming back in full force, to continue applying practical AI to help companies and users.
