As part of the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAid), I was in charge of the management, promotion, monitoring, and assessment of the Public Sector Linkages, Human Rights Development and Australia Awards Fellowships programs in 17 Latin American countries. Management of those international programs includes promoting the strength of Australian industry (as a country brand marketing) in the areas of mining, community consultations, water resources, energy, and education, with the aim of using Australian international cooperation programs to establish a first approach and knowledge of different Australian industries, in order to create estrategies of development. This work includes building and maintaining a network of contacts within the various Andean government ministries of social development, mining, agriculture, water authority, environment, and energy.Nexus between Latin American and Australian counterpart organizations, to introduce them to one another and help them establish linkages, for bilateral or multilateral work within the framework of Australian international cooperation schemes in areas of human rights, mining, water management, food security, and environmental issues. Coordinator of the six Austrade offices in the Region (Mexico, Peru, Chile, Colombia, Argentina, and Brazil) regarding program implementation and resulting business generation in their respective jurisdictions.

Presented the Council on Australia Latin America Relations (COALAR) report, which identifies opportunities for investment, trade, and technical exchanges, from Australia to Latin America, in mining, energy, and food security. Lobbied the Chilean government, universities, and industries for the creation of the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), founded in 2010. Planned and coordinated ministerial-level official visits (visits by the Minister of Trade, and Minister of Foreign Affairs to Chile and Colombia), and cooperated with business missions in the region.
