Tourism development and territorial marketing Grupo Empresarial Inmark SA• I report to the global tourism and territorial marketing director based in Spain, second in command after the global CEO. I work both, as a consultant, as well as a manager, in charge of the results in the country and region. Main KPI’s I pursuit are sales growth, cost performance index, client satisfaction, and schedule performance.• I’ve worked, both as a project manager as well as senior consultant, in + 25 projects in Colombia in 7 years. + 7 in Latin America. 1 in Spain. 1 in Asia.• Successful project execution with clients such as the United Nations Tourism, the IDB, World Bank, OECD, European Commission-European Union, Global Green Growth Institute, International Cooperation (German, Japanese, Norwegian, United States), and local government institutions. • Professor in several academic spaces in undergraduate programs, as well as in master’s degrees and other complementary programs. Experiences with universities in Colombia, Uruguay, Perú, Spain, and Sweden. • Currently, leader researcher at the Colombian Tourism Thinking Centre – Unicafam-COTELCO where I was co-author and leader researcher during the building of the Colombian Subnational Competitiveness Index, the only competitiveness metric in the country available for now.• 14 articles / reviews published, with 214 citations so far. I’ve coauthored with researchers such as Robertico Croes from the University of Central Florida, United States, as well as Narcís Bassols from the University of Uppsala, Sweden, between others. I’m currently writing a couple of new articles with them.• My research has focused on digital transformation (trends, ICTs, smart cities / smart destinations), tourism, development and happiness, and tourism planning.• Full time professor for a year at Universidad Externado de Colombia (2016), and a year and a half in Unicafam (2014-2015).• I was chosen to be a member of the Directive Council for the 2016 period election in the Universidad Externado de Colombia and did important contribution to the debate towards the Colombian Peace Process in 2016, as the leader of the tourism and post-conflict university project.
