A decade ago I arrived in the United States with the ambition and will to succeed and help my family in Honduras. My first job was working for a Pest Control company, tenting houses which taught me a lot about who I wanted to be and where I wanted to go in this new country. Even though I experienced many difficulties, I persevered and gave my best in everything I did. Two years later I got a job at a gas station. I swiftly moved up the ranks, from being the floor guy, to management positions, and later became a share holder of the company. I started college while working more than 60 hours a week. It was not easy balancing work with college education, but through my earlier experiences I had developed indomitable spirit, strength of character, work ethic, and perseverance to achieve my goals. Currently, I am a focused, and dedicated, senior at the University of Miami, majoring in Accounting and seeking to pursue a Master`s of Science in Accountancy. My job as a manager at Mobil Krome gas station allows me to enrich my knowledge and skills in effectively managing all aspects of the business. My face – to – face customer approach has allowed me to be more creative in order to provide a wide variety of services with the end to satisfy our customers` needs and wants. After graduation, I plan to combine my work experience with the skill sets I acquired at the University of Miami to pursue a professional carrier.
