Zurfers is a peer-to-peer vacation property exchange platform that allows users to travel the world without paying for lodging. My team designed, implemented, and launched the product, successfully getting the company into business. Core responsibilities:• Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals.• Communicate technology strategy to partners and investors.• Research and develop new technologies that yield a competitive advantage.• Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency.• Build quality assurance and data protection processes.• Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance.• Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology.

As Product Owner at Zurfers, my role lay in the correct design and communication of the company’s vision and objectives to the IT team, grating the successful execution of our project.

Inlimitech started as a spin-off of Totaltexto, where I was CTO. Here I continued with the same role and responsibilities.Main products:• Brilla Bank: mobile banking app (Puerto Rico).• Several text messaging integration projects for clients in Colombia.

Totaltexto is the leading mobile integrator for the financial sector of Venezuela. My role was to provide executive leadership as head of the IT team. I was responsible for all aspects of strategic IT planning, development, implementation, and support.Main products:• BBVA Provinet Móvil: mobile banking app for BBVA Provincial. The app with the most functionalities at the moment. We were able to accomplish a first release in an outstanding 3-month period. • 2FA app with OATH Certification at the RSA annual conference.• Several apps and SMS integrations for banks, including Banesco, Banco de Venezuela, BBVA, Mercantil, Exterior, and BVC which accounted for a +50% growth for the company.

As a founder, I played many roles, from negotiating with clients to working closely with our development team to achieving goals.Main products:• Batch messaging app for Totaltexto: app for sending bulk messages between banks and mobile operators, resulting in an increase of +30% in processed transactions.• Incentive program for Mercantil Seguros: an app designed to motivate brokers, achieving a 25% increase in insurance sales.• Johnson & Johnson incentive program: software to encourage pharmacies to increase sales of J&J products.• Cita-Salud: medical directory and app to schedule appointments online, which allows patients and doctors to manage their time more efficiently.

Telefónica is the leading telecommunications company in the Venezuelan market.I was responsible for developing the following products:• Copa Excelencia: reporting and statistics software to measure service quality nationwide, with an incentive program to motivate staff to reach +99.99% uptime. This software won an honorable mention at Simón Bolívar University.• Notification Bot: messaging app that integrates into NetExpert and Remedy, with escalation rules to notify the key technical staff of any platform issue, ensuring +99.99% uptime.• Ama Search: used by police and legal authorities to track the use and location of any phone.
