The analysis is coupled with the identification of the factors accounting for the evolution and sketching out possible solutions in those cases where the situation has worsened.2.- A study on the Eurometropolis, as new territorial entities, including a comparison with the concepts of Eurodistricts, Euroregions and European Groupings of Territorial Cooperation. The analysis is based on current examples, such as the Lille-Kortrijk-Tournai Eurometropolis, and focuses on the obstacles they face and they have overcome so far in order to achieve concrete benefits for citizens on both sides of the border.
