As the Data Science team lead in the Print Big Data team, I leaded the evolution and revolution of our Print Big Data analytics and ML predictive models. This involved leading out the program management of all the team’s projects, mentoring members, guiding the direction of projects, and providing a vision for the future of Insights Lab projects. Additionally, as Individual Contributor, it involved delivering highly visible advance analysis and building end-to-end ETL data projects. Some of my contributions are listed:As Team Lead:• Mentored junior and senior data scientists on the direction of projects, stablishing milestones, and timelines, providing feedback, helping resolve issues and providing technical strategy in areas such as recommendation algorithms, retention models, financial lifetime models, customer behavior models and customer profiles.• Acted as Scrum Master for a team of 5 data scientists.• Leaded out a 6-month engagement with an AI Consulting firm that was tasked to accelerate our ML roadmap.• Leaded cross division, innovative projects such as Customer Lifetime Value and Targeted Marketing Algorithm Project Management Office.As Individual Contributor:• As the main Subject Matter Expert of COVID related external factor modelling, I presented several analysis using both internal analytics and external socio-economic factors to support business recovery and growth discussions. These analyses were often presented to the CEO.• Developed an ETL automated process to ingest publicly available COVID related weekly data.• Developed the foundations of Customer Lifetime Value, defining the mathematical approach, aligning with pan-HP stakeholders, and implementing it alongside 3 other data scientists.• Defined the 5yr Insights Lab vision and strategic plans• Identified and evaluate new Big Data technologies and bridged the gaps with current capabilities and technology stack.

Built a ML based predictive scenario modelling tool to model the evolution of Print Supplies sales based on different pandemic evolution scenarios, using a combination of internal sources an external factors(Google Mobility, Government Stringency, COVID-19 cases, economic indicators, etc.)

Business Analyst and Analytics developer:• Lead report and analytics SQL development process to fulfill strategic requests from business teams• Built device level analytical tools and dashboards that provided insights into product use and customer behavior• Created methodologies, data sets and visualizations to automate and improve syndicated reporting using AWS Redshift• Built automated pipelines with Python, Jenkins and Redshift to automate ETL processing, data delivery and validation processes.

Responsible for creating and executing $100M/yr COGS demand plans for 5 facilities in the US, streamlining interdepartmental operations and looking for improvement opportunities in logistics, warehouse management and purchasing.• Mapped out, implemented and trained 30+ warehouse employees on newly improved processes for inbound deliveries, shipping, order preparation and reverse logistics, in order to fix bad practices, ultimately accomplishing a 12% improvement in Inventory Record Accuracy (IRA).• Led SAP-ERP purchasing implementation for goods worth $40M COGS/yr, serving as a liaison between IT and purchasing teams. Translated business requirements into functional specifications and executed a training program for 40+ employees.• Analyzed demand trends to redefine product categories by geographical area, leading to $1M in inventory reduction.• Developed an automated tool for the planning of shipments, saving up to 88% time-wise. Trained and supervised 2 logistics coordinators in the use of the tool, leading to a 94% On-Time-Right Quantity Metric.• Implemented new processes for reporting using VBA Macro such as Report of In transit Shipments, Report of Shipping Exceptions, and Report of Anticipated Recovery Dates.• Properly defined new metrics, analyses and tracking relative to KPIs, projections and historical performance in order to identify root causes across multiple departments in the company and develop action plans.• Developed ad hoc analyses and dashboards to support decision making such as capacity increasing evaluations and resource allocations.

Implemented a pricing strategy for a lead player in the grocery industry.• Developed a model using MS Excel for the price reestablishment of 1k+ SKUs, leading to an estimated increase in profitability of €500k.• Evaluated the performance of several promotional strategies examining product cannibalization, ROI/promotion, variance of price levels and insights from customers.• Performed several qualitative analyses on best praxis of in-store advertising and signage.• Built a competitive differentiation framework study to understand the client's value proposition versus competition.
