- Created research projects to diversify and improve the reach, impact and funding of the institution. This work included proposing new development projects and innovation, grant proposals, university cooperation, projects for international exchange students, and creating a system of documentation and process control to improve the operation of the observatory.- Defined, planned, monitored, budgeted and managed personnel for hardware engineering and software projects in the Jicamarca Radio Observatory, mainly for instrumentation of radar systems and geophysical disaster early warning systems.- Coordinate, program and assess multiple research projects in the area of upper atmosphere, geophysical disaster early warning systems, instrumentation for radar systems and electronic development.- Principal Investigator for unmanned air vehicle monitoring of active volcanoes in the Peruvian Andes.

- Defined, designed and implemented the new electronic system for acquisition of ionospheric data for the Jicamarca Radio Observatory. This system was aimed at better reception of data from radar systems, with special emphasis on better SNR (signal-to-noise ratio), high-speed acquisition and programming flexibility to improve the quality of data collected.- Also implemented a graphical web interface to control the operating parameters of the radar controller and acquisition system with the goal of freeing the system used operating systems. In addition I worked on the project database to modernize storage systems.

- Design, debug, and test digital, analog, and Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC).- Direct preparation of product layouts, detailed drawings and schematics.- Coordinate manufacture of prototypes.- Plan and develop experimental test programs to verify compliance to all applicable regulations (DO-160) and quality guidelines.

Designed, coded, tested and debugged administrative and content management software. Maintained existing software and suite of web applications in PHP, JS & SQL. Upgraded clients' system implementations.

Investigated FPGA performance of semi-custom functionality in general-purpose processing cores. Worked on embedded system design for image processing applications. Collaborated with team researching migration of computationally-intensive OS tasks through hardware/software embedded system co-design.

- Created, modified, taught and graded section for Digital Logic Design lab. - Developed VHDL and PCB lab exercises to support lectures.- Presented technical materials to mid-sized group of students. - Conveyed engineering concepts when substituting for lecturer to groups of 80 cross-departmental engineers. - Ranked among top 5% of instructors for 9 semesters. - Educated more than 350 professionals in digital logic design and circuits, FPGA programming with VHDL.- Trained seven other Graduate Teaching Assistants.
