About Jorge A. Martinez
I have been part of the industry for over 10 years. I have chosen to follow a progression based on professionalism and dedication. My first job was as flight instructor for Delta Connection Academy, out of Sanford, FL. I learnt to understand and work with different learning profiles and to analyze students to maximize their success and achievements; it was a very rewarding experience to help people out while getting a great feedback of experience for myself.In May 2011, I dediced to move on to the airlines and joined LAN Chile (Now LATAM Airlines Group), based in Santiago. Being a first officer on A320 Family flying all over South America taught me different and challenging flying scenarios. Due to career progression and new objectives, I decided to move to the middle east to fly state of the art aircrafts in a new global operation until I was made redundant in October 2020, due to the global pandemic. In December 2020, I landed a position with Amerijet where I did my training in Boeing 757/767. March 2021 was the start date at Spirit Airlines where I currently work as a First Officer and Simulator Instructor. I hold a B.S. in Aeronautics from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, with a specialization in Aviation Safety. Educational curriculum was great and the experience was taken to the next level after sharing class with so many professional people from different backgrounds within the industry: engineers, military personnel, retired airline pilots, etc... My areas of interest are aviation and sports.
