Responsible for commissioning activities for the Electrical disciplines on Snorre A Drilling Facilities, refurbish project for an oil rig.Tasks include writing Commissioning Procedures for ea. Systems, implementation of all TAGs in the MC database system (ProCoSys) and link them with their MCCRs and CPCLs, prepare demolition-, commissioning and MC-packages, keeping track with 3rd party vendor Procedures, participation in IFAT, FAT etc. Utilising Aker Solutions based software such as Frames, Time and Project Wise. Other software I worked with is Statoil program as STID and ProCoSys. Project follow NORSOK standard.

Responsible for commissioning activities for Electrical, Instrument and automation disciplines at the West Hercules Winterization Project of a drill rig in Sandnes and Ølen. Planning of activities to achieve targeted deadlines, implementing software based system for commissioning activities and structure of activities, planning and executing quality and HMS procedures related to commissioning, design and planning of procedures, support the activities of job package production and following up of quality issues in the field.

Responsible for MC and Commissioning scope of company projects. Apply Emtunga is a leading EPC contractor of steel Living Quarters for Offshore purpose.Some of my work tasks were to create QAP (Quality Assurance Plan), QCP (Quality Control Plan) and procedures for MC and Commissioning testing Procedure (MCP, CTP) and planning of the activities within the project schedule. Hand over to client after the discipline system has been finalised. Some of the tools I worked with are ProArc document control system, DePlan database design program, MC/Com check out database and Microsoft Office 2010.

Procurement department was some of my part as well to take care of the electrical and electronic material. I have very good knowledge of the way to do the procurement. There are so many technical terms and data to get right material ones as power generation, switchgear LV/HV etc. Attend and approve FAT/SAT so the material/machines meets the specifications.Construction department: My role as a Senior Electrical Engineer is to attend to the site construction meetings to keep control of ongoing activities. Solve problems and make adjustment of the electrical design that could clash with other disciplines. The electrical site supervision was under my responsibility that I follow up daily progress of installations.Commissioning and completion of the electrical and electronic part go under my department.This is to guarantee that installations follow the design and work proper to the specifications.As-built updating and proper hand over documentations to the clients.

Refurbish project to replace existing “Static Var Compensator” units on five locations in South Africa. A 60 million USD project what I where responsible for the installation and commissioning on Site, reporting to Installation & Project Manager. Some of my working tasks where to planning the installation, adjust design for mechanical clashing during the installation, logistic and cost control etc.A static var compensator (or SVC) is an electrical device for providing fast-acting reactive power on high-voltage electricity transmission networks. SVCs are part of the Flexible AC transmission system device family, regulating voltage and stabilizing the system. The term "static" refers to the fact that the SVC has no moving parts (other than circuit breakers and disconnects, which do not move under normal SVC operation), unlike the Synchronous condenser, which is a rotating electrical machine. Prior to the invention of the SVC, power factor compensation was the preserve of large rotating machines such as synchronous condensers.

Construction project of a large shopping mall complex where I provide support to the Project Management with regards to progress monitoring for all engineering disciplines, creating snag lists of remaining work items and push the construction company for finalizing of the project. My second task is to technically start up the store facility and train the operating engineer in all system including heating, ventilation, fire, electrical etc.

Work as installation advisor at a paper making factory in Algeria. In charge and responsible for the entire installation of power and instrumentation as well as test and commissioning of the paper making equipment with an organization of expatriates, local staff and subcontractors.

Mechanical Completion Engineer at Electrical and Instrument Department on a large gas project (Ormen Lange) in Norway. General inspection, QC and snagging of installed equipment in order to ensure complete contractual compliance prior to commissioning and hand over to the client.

In this company have I responsibility for the electrical and electronic installations on two underground petrochemical storage facilities in Abha and Buraidah. Some of the installations I were involved in was of a 8 MVA diesel fired underground Powerhouse with Deutz Generators, Sub-Station for middle voltage and low voltage with switchgear from Schneider Electric and ABB. Construction of a pipeline.A 250 km long pipeline supplied the storage plant with products. The pipeline installations utilised a booster pump station for which I was responsible for supervising the installations for the Electrical and Electronic disciplines. After completion and commissioning of the plant and pipeline did I participated in one year maintenance program after plant start-up.Some of my responsible for the operation in my department was:Plan and prepare Electrical and Electronic works & installations based on approval drawings & documents with respect to manpower, equipment and material.Interpret design drawing to confirm installation proceedings.Resolve installation issues & concerns.Coordinate interfaces work with other disciplines.Supervise personnel to achieve to the required production output.Motivate and train personnel to ensure quality of the work and efficient work execution.

In the gold mine was my position Manager for Metallurgy Operational Maintenance Service. This position is primarily responsible for the Installation, maintenance and most important the training of Ethiopian personnel in Electrical and Mechanical areas. When I began in the mine where I involved in three projects,● Construction of a 5 MVA diesel fired powerhouse standby plant.● A tunnel for underground mining production.● Construction of a crusher for the metallurgy operation.The existing power plant located in Saudi Arabia where dismantled and shipped to Ethiopia there I re-assembled it. The Caterpillar 2512 generator-set produced a 400 volt AC to a step up transformer which supplied the mine with a 15kV power supply. The plant is fully automated. My participation within the subterranean part of the project consisted of supervising the installation of an 3 x 500 KVA 400 Volt Cumming generator-sets and a 15 kV transmission system what we maintain and extend during the operation.Due to increase in rock crushing capacity did a second hand plant purchase from a sister company in Saudi Arabia. I was responsible for the Electrical Design, Installations and Commissioning of the plant during a twelve months period.

Responsible for maintaining all production line equipment, trouble shooting of advanced PLC systems and maintenance of multi-motor drive systems. Other duties included installations in connection with retooling and production line changes.This position required extreme involvement and cooperation with in all engineering disciplines in order to optimise the machinery for maximum production, reliability and economy.

Responsible for process control equipment such as PCs, analogue and digital metering equipment for pulp and paper production machinery common to the paper mill industry. Daily routines consisted of calibration of process equipment and technical support to the production and trouble shooting personnel.

Responsible for maintaining all production line equipment, trouble shooting of advanced PLC systems and maintenance of multi-motor drive systems.
